A very interesting dish, and surprisingly, the combination of different carbohydrates doesn’t feel strange. I came here with an Egyptian friend, and she said this tastes just like Koshary in Egypt! I’ll definitely be back!

Koshary El Tahrir is an Egyptian restaurant that is newly opened in London on 175 Edgware Road, 5 min walk from the Edgware Road underground train station. Koshary, kushari, or koshari is Egypt's national dish and a widely popular street food. It is a traditional Egyptian staple, mixing pasta, Egyptian fried rice, vermicelli, and brown lentils, and topped with a zesty tomato sauce, garlic vinegar and garnished with chickpeas and crispy fried onions. It is often served with sprinklings of garlic juice; garlic vinegar and hot sauce are optional. Koshary El Tahrir is the taste of Egypt in the Heart of London !! Although I had to wait for my dish, the service, taste, and price were amazing and worth the time to wait, and let's go to another visit.

This Egyptian food place has been a revelation to me. The food was so good. The simple looking food packed a punch in it's taste and serving size (I took a medium bowl and it was enough for me). Totally worth it. Also, not just my hunger, it left my heart satisfied and delighted. The service and atmosphere of the store was also top notch. Would definitely visit again and again.

Found this place on the off chance. 1st time trying it and really enjoyed it. I love the way you can adjust the spice and mix the dish to whichever way you want. Ended up having a rice pudding to cleanse the palate. Service was very good, and reasonably priced for the Heart of London... Should open more branches up North, as I would visit regularly..

I ate such a meal for the first time. It was very nice and delicious but also strange. There was only one type of food and one type of dessert. The dessert was also great and very clean but it didn't seem suitable to be eaten all the time.
